Paris Berelc: Real Name, Age, Ethnicity, Husband FAQs

Most people meet Paris Berelc through characters who feel like friends: Skylar Storm on Disney XD’s Mighty Med, or Alexa Mendoza in Netflix’s Alexa & Katie. But the questions fans ask about her off-screen life — her heritage, her relationships, even her name — come back surprisingly fuzzy. She has been on screen since 2013, yet much of what circulates about her personal life is database drift and fan speculation. Here’s what’s actually documented, and what remains a rumor.

Full Name: Paris MaryJo Berelc (reported) ·
Date of Birth: December 29, 1998 ·
Place of Birth: Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA ·
Occupation: Actress, Model ·
Known For: Mighty Med (Disney XD), Alexa & Katie (Netflix)

Nine rows, one pattern: the verifiable facts are professional and geographic, while every personal detail reverts to “not publicly known.”

What is Paris Berelc’s real name?

Paris Berelc’s reported full name is Paris MaryJo Berelc, according to TVmaze, a fan-edited television database. The same profile notes the name isn’t corroborated by a primary source, which is why most quick-facts pages repeat a database listing instead of an official record.

She is an American actress and model, per Wikipedia’s biography of Berelc, which also credits her with reprising Skylar Storm in the spinoff Lab Rats: Elite Force. Her reported date of birth is December 29, 1998, according to The Movie Database, and Apple TV’s biography places her birth in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The pattern: her professional history carries reliable sourcing, while the personal details that fuel fan pages do not. That’s exactly why quick-facts lists about her contradict each other.

How old was Paris Berelc when she acted in Alexa and Katie?

Alexa & Katie premiered on Netflix on March 23, 2018, according to Wikipedia’s series entry. Since Berelc’s reported birth date is December 29, 1998 (The Movie Database), she was 19 at the premiere and 21 by the end of the run in 2020.

Berelc played the lead role of Alexa Mendoza, a high-school student living with leukemia. IMDb’s cast listing confirms her in the role, and the Television Academy’s Honors page describes the series as centering on Alexa’s illness and the friendship of Katie Cooper, played by Isabel May. It was her biggest platform by a wide margin.

The show’s footprint is compact: three seasons, 39 episodes, released from 2018 to 2020, per IMDb’s episode listing. Netflix didn’t order a fourth season, and no official reason was published.

What is Paris Berelc doing now?

• Most recent documented credit: Alexa & Katie, which ended in 2020 (IMDb series listing)
• No new acting projects announced as of August 2025 (The Movie Database filmography page)
• Active on Instagram, where she shares personal updates

The practical read: she hasn’t announced a pivot away from acting — she just hasn’t announced anything. For fans, the absence of new credits on her filmography page is the only signal available, and it’s a weak one.

Why were Alexa and Katie canceled?

What the record does show: the series received a 2019 Television Academy Honors award for its depiction of living with cancer and friendship, per the Television Academy. That distinction reframes the ending — the show concluded with institutional recognition rather than a quiet axing.

Do Alexa and Dylan ever kiss?

It’s a fair question if you’ve watched the show: a character named Dylan is part of Alexa’s on-screen circle, and search logs keep asking whether the friendship crosses into a kiss. The honest answer is “not documented.” A scene might exist among the 39 episodes, but without a reliable episode summary pointing to it, the claim belongs in the rumor column, not the confirmed one.

Is Paris Berelc Latina?

Berelc has not publicly confirmed her racial or ethnic background, and no representative statement exists on the record. What circulates instead are database descriptions: Wikipedia’s biography describes her as of Filipino descent on her mother’s side, while TheCityCeleb summarizes her heritage as Filipino and European.

Another database broadens the mix to French Canadian, European, and Asian. The range of descriptors is a warning sign: when sources disagree on something as basic as heritage, the only authoritative answer is whatever Berelc herself says — and she hasn’t said anything.

What is Paris Berelc’s race?

• No official statement from Berelc on race or ethnicity
• Reported Filipino ancestry on her mother’s side (Wikipedia biography)
• Secondary databases split between Filipino/European and French Canadian/European/Asian (TheCityCeleb)

The definitional gap matters because fans treat “race” and “ethnicity” as the same question. The available sources settle neither: TVmaze’s data flags the breakdown as unestablished rather than confirming one, which is as close to an official answer as the public record gets.

The pattern: every source points in the same general direction — partial Filipino ancestry — but none carries Berelc’s own confirmation. In that vacuum, the only accurate answer to “Is she Latina?” is: unconfirmed.

Does Paris Berelc have a husband?

Berelc has never publicly confirmed being married or having a spouse, and no public records document a wedding. The most detailed profile available — Apple TV’s biography — walks through her career moves without mentioning a partner, and Wikipedia’s page similarly lists no spouse.

Does Paris Berelc have kids?

• Children: none documented in public records
• No statement from Berelc on the topic

Same record, same answer: no children are documented in any of the biography databases that track her life. Berelc hasn’t addressed parenthood publicly, and no credible outlet has reported a pregnancy or birth.

Does Paris Berelc have a twin sister?

Berelc has never addressed the twin rumor, and none of the consulted databases — TVmaze included — record a twin sister. Until a primary source appears, this one stays in the unconfirmed column.

Is Paris Berelc friends with Isabel May?

• On screen: Isabel May played Katie Cooper, Alexa’s best friend and neighbor (Television Academy)
• Off screen: no public confirmation from either actress

The friendship reads naturally on camera because the show’s whole premise is their bond. Off camera, it’s an assumption. Neither Berelc nor May has publicly discussed their personal relationship, so the honest answer is “not confirmed.”

The pattern: every relationship question hits the same wall — no primary evidence and no comment from Berelc. The accurate answers are “no public record” and “unaddressed,” not “yes” or “no.”

The thread connecting all these questions is the same: Berelc hasn’t supplied the personal record, so the record holds only a void where biography should sit.

What religion is Paris Berelc?

Berelc has not publicly shared a religious affiliation, and no credible source confirms one. Biography sites that routinely include religion — like TheCityCeleb’s profile — omit it entirely in her case. That omission is the signal: there is nothing on record.

The trade-off: fans want the person behind the characters, but she hasn’t offered that layer of biography. The silence is her choice, and the category stays “unconfirmed” until she says otherwise.

Career timeline

Seven milestones, one pattern: an early start, a Disney-era breakthrough, a Netflix run, and a long quiet stretch since.

The timeline also exposes the gap: from age 17 to 21, Berelc appeared in a near-continuous run of television; since 2020, her documented slate is empty. That isn’t evidence of retirement — it’s evidence of privacy.

What’s confirmed, what’s still unclear

The imbalance is the point: her confirmed facts fit in four bullets, while the open questions take seven. That’s what a low-documentation celebrity profile looks like when it’s written honestly.

What the sources say

Because Berelc rarely gives interviews, the citable statements about her come from the institutions that documented her work and her records. Four statements capture the state of the public file.

Alexa & Katie received a 2019 Television Academy Honors award for its depiction of living with cancer and friendship.— Television Academy, Television Academy Honors

Alexa & Katie ran from 2018 to 2020 and contains 39 episodes.— IMDb, Alexa & Katie

Berelc began modeling at age nine after being approached by Ford Models in Chicago.— Apple TV, Paris Berelc biography

Berelc is described as being of Filipino descent on her mother’s side.— Wikipedia, Paris Berelc

Three of the four statements concern her work; only one touches her identity. That ratio is the biography in miniature: her career is well sourced, and her personal life is largely a set of unconfirmed traces.

Summary

Paris Berelc’s public story is clear on the outside: a Milwaukee-born actress and model who broke through on Disney XD’s Mighty Med, led Netflix’s Alexa & Katie for three seasons, and collected a Television Academy Honor along the way. It gets blurrier the closer it moves to her personal life — ethnicity, religion, relationships, even her reported full name all sit in the “unconfirmed” column. For fans making claims online, the choice is clear: attach a primary source to the claim, or mark it as speculation — because an unmarked rumor about a private person does real damage.
